Hello, How are you doing today?

One resume does not work for every job. Each company wants different skills, and ATS systems look for different keywords. If you send the same resume everywhere, you lower your chances.

Here’s how to customize your resume in 10 minutes:

Step 1: Read the job description (2 minutes)
Find out the important skills and tools. Example: “SEO, content strategy, Google Analytics.” These are the keywords you need to highlight in your resumes!

Step 2: Match keywords (3 minutes)
The highlighted keywords should be put into the resume perfectly. It should feel like you have added those keywords naturally. For example:

Wrong way (forced):

  • “Did SEO, used Google Analytics, and did content strategy.”
👉 Looks like you just stuffed the keywords in.

    Right way (natural):

  • “Improved website traffic by 42% in 6 months by leading a content strategy and tracking results with SEO tools and Google Analytics.”
👉 Feels smooth, makes sense, and shows results.

Step 3: Rewrite 2–3 bullets (3 minutes)
Before: “Improved website traffic.”
After: “Improved organic traffic by 42% in 6 months using SEO and Google Analytics.”

Step 4: Adjust your title (2 minutes)
If the job is “Marketing Analyst” and your last title was “Digital Marketing Assistant,” write “Digital Marketing Assistant (Marketing Analyst duties)” — now ATS picks it up.

That’s it. 10 minutes of editing = a much higher chance of passing ATS and catching a recruiter’s eye.

Try to use these methods in your next resume submission.

We will talk again on Thursday.
